Asia-Pacific Association of Chemical Ecologists (APACE)

Dear APACE Friends and Members,

It gives me great pleasure to announce that our 6th Asia-Pacific Association of Chemical Ecologists (APACE) Conference with the theme "Chemical Ecology Future: Green Chemoecology in 21st Century" will be held in Beijing China (October 11-15, 2011). This conference marks the round trip of the Association in the Chinese philosophy (a 12 year one circle) since the first meeting of the APACE was initiated in Shanghai in 1999. Please, let us know if you have any suggestions or ideas for the Association. Thank you.

Dear APACE members

I can scarcely believe that a year has passed since our last APACE meeting in Honolulu. Again I would like to thank all who attended for a very successful meeting.

As your incoming President, and on behalf of the executive committee and councilors it is my pleasure to invite you to attend the next APACE meeting coming up in October 2011 in beautiful and historic Beijing, China. Executive committee members Alex I'lichev and Jun Wei Zhu met earlier this year with Youngping and Zhen for a site visit and discussions on the preliminary program.

The organizing committee headed by Dr Zhen Zhang and Dr Yongping Huang have been hard at work getting the venue for the next meeting and preparing an interesting program for your attendance. They soon expect approval for howling the meeting from government officials.

In the next few weeks the first announcement will be put up on the APACE website with links on the meeting venue and proposed symposia. Registration detail will follow in the second announcement.

I look forward to another successful meeting and seeing all of you in Beijing.
