Asia-Pacific Association of Chemical Ecologists (APACE)

Dear Overseas APACE Participants:

We are very pleased to announce that over 250 papers (including plenary, keynote, luncheon, symposium and general presentations), have been submitted to the APACE conference secretariat by June 15, 2007 at the close of the submission desk.

A reminder from the organizing committee of 4th APACE 2007.

To assist us plan and organize in advance, please inform the secretariat regarding the following items:

1) Flight information
a. Arrival time, date and flight number
b. Departure time, date and flight number
If you are not arriving at Narita (International Tokyo) Airport, also let us have your travel itinerary.
Please send us your flight information by August 10. However, if your are arriving at Narita in the evening of September 10 (Monday), please let us know your flight schedule by August 3 (Friday), so that we can arrange for a transportation to Tsukuba (see below).

2) Hotel information
a. Hotel name
b. Check-in date
c. Check-out date
d. Number of accompanying persons

3) Special dietary requirements (if any)
Included in your registration fee, the following meals will be served during the conference:
Lunch box or buffet (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
Reception (Tuesday); Poster & Snack (Wednesday); Conference Dinner (Thursday)

======== Important Information ==================

1. Access to Tsukuba
Take an express bus, "Airport Liner Natt's". It takes about 100 minutes between the Narita Airport and the Tsukuba Center Bus Terminal (there are several stops before Tsukuba; the last bus leaves Narita Airport at 20:10). The fee is 2540 yen (one way). If you arrive at Narita late in the evening of September 10, the APACE secretariat will organize a bus to pick you up (fee: 2500 yen/person). In such a case, we will let you know where to meet at the Airport. The bus service is arranged ONLY for late-arriving [after 8 PM (20:00 h)] delegates on September 10 (MONDAY).

2. From Tsukuba Bus Center to Hotels and APACE Conference Venue

>From Tsukuba Bus Center to your hotel (Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal; Hotel Grand Shinonome), it takes about 10 minutes (walking) [Tsukuba Sky Hotel is located 1200m west of the Bus Center]. If you are too tired or carrying luggage, take a taxi from the bus terminal. Taxi fare is 670 yen. From the ground level, take the stairs up to the pedestrian walk level (brown line in the map), and then go south (down) to Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal / International Congress Center Epochal Tsukuba.

3. Registration Desk
The registration desk will be open at various sites as follows:
September 10 (Mon) 15:00-17:00 at the lobby (1st floor) of International Congress Center Epochal Tsukuba.
September 10 (Mon) 18:00-20:00 at the lobby (1st floor) of Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba Epochal.
September 11 (Tue) 08:30-17:00 at the lobby (2nd floor) of Main Convention Hall of the conference venue Epochal.
