Asia-Pacific Association of Chemical Ecologists (APACE) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of its members, and is committed to properly manage all personal information.

Collection of personal information

APACE collects personal information required to offer services in accordance with the business purposes of APACE. When APACE requests personal information it will specify the purpose and use of that information on a consent basis.

Use of personal information

The collected personal information will be used only to achieve the purpose for which it was collected for. No personal information will be disclosed to third parties without the owner's consent.

In addition to the purpose for collection of personal information mentioned above, personal information may also be used in the following situations.

  • 1. When required by statute regulation
  • 2. When with the owner's prior consent
  • 3. When all or part of the individual data is entrusted within limits required for achievement of business purposes (for example, providing name and address to a company for delivery of services)

Management of personal information

APACE manages the personal information collected with utmost care to prevent improper disclosure, destruction, modification and loss. APACE is not responsible for personal information that is disclosed by the holders themselves or that is already public.

Disclosure and correction of personal information

APACE discloses, with shortest delay, the personal information collected when the holder makes a request. When the holder requests correction of his/her data, APACE shall comply with the request at the shortest time possible upon receipt.

APACE website

Visitors to the APACE website should use it at their own risk. APACE assumes no responsibility for any outcomes arising from the use of information obtained both on the APACE website itself and from other websites linked to the APACE website.

Change of privacy policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised without notice. The latest Privacy Policy always governs the privacy information collected by APACE. Any revised Privacy Policy will be posted on the APACE website and takes effect immediately.
