Asia-Pacific Association of Chemical Ecologists (APACE)

The deadline for registration and abstract submission for the Fifth Asia-Pacific Conference on Chemical Ecology in Honolulu (October 27-30, 2009) is July 15. I encourage all members who plan to attend to take advantage of the reduced member registration rates.

Abstract submission is avavilable online through Oxford Abstracts and you can easily enter your abstracts online. Hotel reservationa at the Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio are also available. Please click on the following link to access all of the information you need to attend the meeting.

The organizers have lined up an exciting meeting with Plenary sessions on insect and vertebrate chemical ecology, invited talks on marine chemical ecology and several interesting symposia that should be of interest to the membership. Opening reception will feature a "taste of Hawaii" and the conference dinner is taking place at the Waikiki Aquarium just 10 min walk from the Hotel. The warm "aloha" of the islands await you with great "local" food, the famous Waikiki beach and Honolulu Zoo just a short walk from the hotel and many other things to see and do during your visit. Come in a few days early to relax and enjoy the islands!
